Mumbai, October 22, 2026: The investigation into the firing on Bollywood actor Tiger Shroff has widened after Mumbai Police said the accused shooters had also visited and conducted reconnaissance near the homes of Ranveer Singh, Aamir Khan and Salman Khan before the attack.
Police are now trying to determine whether the three actors were also intended targets or whether the accused were merely surveying high-profile celebrity residences while preparing the attack.
Shooters Visited Multiple Celebrity Homes
According to police, the accused travelled across Mumbai and visited the residences of several prominent Bollywood actors before eventually targeting Tiger Shroff.
Investigators are examining CCTV footage, mobile-phone data and statements made during interrogation to reconstruct their movements.
Ranveer Singh’s Home and Office Allegedly Surveyed
Investigators have found that Ranveer Singh’s residence and office were allegedly surveyed by the accused.
Reports say videos from the reconnaissance were also sent to an alleged conspirator, adding another layer to the investigation into whether other celebrities were being considered as possible targets.
Salman Khan Was Allegedly the Initial Target
Police sources have separately said that Salman Khan may have been the shooters’ original target.
The accused allegedly conducted reconnaissance outside his Galaxy Apartments residence in Bandra but abandoned the plan after noticing heavy police and security deployment.
Focus Allegedly Shifted to Tiger Shroff
After allegedly deciding that Salman Khan was too heavily protected, the attackers are believed to have looked for a celebrity with comparatively lighter security.
Police sources said they discovered through social media that Tiger Shroff regularly played football at a Juhu ground and allegedly decided to target him there.
Aamir Khan’s Residence Also Visited
Aamir Khan’s residence was also among the locations allegedly visited by the shooters during their movements around Mumbai.
Police are investigating whether the visit was part of an organised target-selection exercise or simply reconnaissance carried out on instructions from handlers.
Investigators Yet to Confirm Whether All Were Targets
Authorities have cautioned that the fact the accused visited celebrity residences does not automatically establish that every actor was on a confirmed hit list.
Police are still checking whether the gang specifically ordered attacks on Ranveer Singh, Aamir Khan or others, or whether the shooters were scouting locations more broadly.
Ranbir Kapoor’s Residence Also Under Scanner
The investigation has expanded further, with fresh reports indicating that the accused also allegedly conducted reconnaissance near Ranbir Kapoor’s Bandra residence.
That development emerged as investigators continued analysing the shooters’ movements before the Tiger Shroff attack.
Ten People Held in Wider Probe
The wider investigation has led to multiple arrests.
The Indian Express reported that 10 people have now been held, including two women accused of helping deliver the firearm after it was collected through a “dead drop” arrangement in Amritsar.
Police Examine Alleged Lawrence Bishnoi Gang Links
Investigators are also probing alleged links between the accused and the Lawrence Bishnoi network.
The case has raised fresh concerns about organised criminal groups targeting Bollywood personalities through intimidation, extortion and violence.
Police are examining communications between the shooters and suspected handlers to determine who selected the targets and who financed or coordinated the operation.
Security Around Bollywood Celebrities Tightened
Following the revelations, security around several high-profile Bollywood personalities has come under renewed review.
Salman Khan already has heavy security because of previous threats, while the latest investigation has raised questions about the protection provided to other actors whose residences were allegedly surveyed.
Probe Continues Into Full Target List
Mumbai Police are now trying to establish whether the shooters were working from a specific list of targets and whether additional celebrities were under surveillance.
The findings could significantly widen the scope of the Tiger Shroff firing case as investigators examine the alleged criminal network behind the attack.
