Kota/Mumbai, October 19, 2026: Three suspects allegedly involved in the firing on Bollywood actor Tiger Shroff’s car in Mumbai have been arrested at Kota railway station in Rajasthan while reportedly attempting to escape towards Nepal through Delhi.
The arrests came a day after gunmen opened fire on Shroff’s vehicle in Mumbai’s Juhu area. The actor escaped the attack unharmed, while the case triggered a major interstate police operation to trace the alleged shooters.
Three Suspects Arrested at Kota Railway Station
The three accused were intercepted while travelling aboard the Pune-Jaipur Express after Mumbai Police shared intelligence regarding their movement with Rajasthan authorities.
A joint operation involving the Rajasthan Anti-Gangster Task Force, Kota City Police and other agencies was launched after information suggested that the suspects were travelling through Kota.
Police teams searched the train after it arrived at Kota Junction and detained the three suspects.
Accused Allegedly Planned to Escape to Nepal
According to police, the suspects were reportedly planning to travel from Rajasthan towards Delhi before eventually attempting to enter Nepal.
Investigators believe they had chosen the route as part of an effort to evade police following the shooting in Mumbai.
One of the arrested suspects is reportedly a minor, while the other accused have been identified as individuals from Haryana and Bihar.
Attack Took Place in Mumbai’s Juhu Area
The firing took place on Sunday evening when Tiger Shroff was travelling in his car in Mumbai’s Juhu area.
Reports said three attackers riding a motorcycle opened fire at the vehicle. Several bullets were fired at the car, including shots aimed at its windshield and side windows.
Shroff escaped without serious injuries, while his driver and another person were reportedly injured during the incident.
Attackers Allegedly Tracked Tiger Shroff’s Movements
Investigators are examining claims that the suspects had conducted reconnaissance before carrying out the attack.
According to reports citing investigative sources, the attackers allegedly monitored Shroff’s movements and routine for several days, including visits to his residence, gym and football ground.
The suspects are believed to have used information about his regular Sunday routine to plan the timing of the attack.
Police Trace Escape Route After Shooting
After the firing, the suspects allegedly abandoned the motorcycle used in the attack and travelled towards Mumbai’s western suburbs before boarding a train.
Investigators believe they subsequently crossed Maharashtra and entered Gujarat while attempting to avoid police detection.
Their movement was later traced to Rajasthan, where authorities received information that the suspects were travelling through Kota.
Police Probe Possible Gang Links
Authorities are also investigating possible links between the accused and organised criminal networks.
Some reports have claimed that the suspects may have links to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, although investigators are continuing to examine the exact role of individuals allegedly involved in planning and directing the attack.
Police are also looking into whether someone else provided instructions, financial assistance or logistical support to the accused.
Mumbai Police Move to Take Custody
A Mumbai Police team has reached Kota to begin the legal process for taking custody of the arrested suspects.
Once transferred, investigators are expected to question them regarding the motive behind the firing, the planning of the attack and any individuals who may have helped them.
Police are also expected to examine the suspects’ phones, travel movements and communications as part of the wider investigation.
No Weapons Recovered During Arrest
Police said no firearms were recovered from the accused at the time of their arrest in Kota.
Investigators are therefore working to determine what happened to the weapons allegedly used during the firing and whether they were handed over to another person during the suspects’ escape.
The search for additional evidence connected to the attack is continuing.
Investigation Continues Into Motive
Authorities have not yet announced a final conclusion regarding the motive behind the attack.
Investigators are examining the possibility of organised gang involvement while also trying to establish who allegedly ordered the shooting and why Tiger Shroff was targeted.
