EPFO Advises Members to Complete Urgent Claims Before Scheduled System Maintenance

New Delhi, June 26: The Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) has advised its members and employers to complete urgent online transactions before a scheduled system maintenance window, as the retirement fund body undertakes a major technology upgrade to improve its digital services.

The maintenance activity is part of EPFO’s ongoing modernization programme aimed at enhancing system performance, strengthening cybersecurity, and improving the overall user experience for millions of subscribers across the country.

Online Services to Be Temporarily Affected

During the maintenance period, several online services may remain unavailable or experience temporary disruptions. These include:

  • Online PF claim submission
  • Passbook download
  • Universal Account Number (UAN) services
  • KYC updates
  • Employer portal functions
  • Member profile management

Subscribers planning to submit claims or update account details have been advised to complete their work before the maintenance begins to avoid delays.

Technology Upgrade to Improve Efficiency

EPFO said the scheduled upgrade is expected to improve the speed and reliability of its digital platforms. The new infrastructure will support faster claim processing, improved system stability, and better handling of increasing transaction volumes.

The organisation has been investing in digital transformation to simplify services and reduce processing time for provident fund-related requests.

Members Encouraged to Use Official Channels

EPFO has requested subscribers to rely only on its official website and authorised communication channels for updates regarding the maintenance schedule and restoration of services.

Officials also cautioned members against responding to fake messages or fraudulent websites claiming to offer alternative claim-processing services during the maintenance period.

Digital Modernisation Continues

The technology upgrade forms part of EPFO’s broader efforts to modernize public service delivery. In recent years, the organisation has introduced several online facilities, allowing members to access services without visiting EPFO offices.

The latest upgrade is expected to strengthen the organisation’s digital ecosystem while providing a smoother and more secure experience for both employees and employers.

Services to Resume After Maintenance

EPFO has assured users that all affected online services will resume once the maintenance work is completed. Members have been advised to plan their transactions accordingly and check official notifications for any further updates.

The organisation said the temporary inconvenience is necessary to deliver a more efficient, secure, and reliable digital platform capable of serving millions of EPF subscribers across India.
