UP Home Guard PET for 41,424 Posts Postponed to September 14 Due to Heavy Rain

LUCKNOW, September 8: The Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board (UPPRPB) has postponed the Physical Efficiency Test (PET) for 41,424 Home Guard posts, which was originally scheduled to begin today, September 8.

The PET will now start from September 14, 2026, after persistent rainfall raised concerns over candidate safety and the smooth conduct of the examination.

Heavy Rain Forces Schedule Change

UPPRPB said the schedule was revised due to continuous rainfall across Uttar Pradesh.

The board considered:

  • Candidate safety and convenience
  • Fair conduct of the examination
  • Weather conditions
  • Smooth management of PET centres

The recruitment drive is being conducted under UP Home Guard Enrolment 2025.

Revised Admit Cards Issued

Revised PET admit cards were scheduled to be uploaded on the official UPPRPB website from September 7.

Candidates must check their new test date, reporting time and examination centre on the revised admit card. Earlier admit cards issued for the original schedule will not be valid for the rescheduled PET.

The PET will be conducted at designated PAC units and Reserve Police Lines across Uttar Pradesh.
