NEW DELHI, September 14: The Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) has begun the Physical Standard Test (PST) and Documentation stage today, September 14, for candidates shortlisted under the ASI Paramedical Staff Recruitment 2026.
The recruitment drive is being conducted on an all-India basis for 24 Assistant Sub-Inspector paramedical vacancies, covering Pharmacist, Lab Technician and X-Ray Technician posts. Candidates must report according to the date, time and centre mentioned on their individual admit cards.
Recruitment Covers 24 ASI Paramedical Posts
According to the official CISF recruitment notification, the 24 vacancies are divided among three paramedical categories:
- ASI Pharmacist: 18 posts
- ASI Lab Technician: 5 posts
- ASI X-Ray Technician: 1 post
The posts fall under Pay Level-5, carrying a pay scale of ₹29,200 to ₹92,300, along with applicable Central Government allowances.
PST and Documentation Start From September 14
CISF released the admit cards for the PST and Documentation stage on September 1, 2026.
The process begins from September 14 onwards at notified centres across the country. Candidates have been advised to carefully follow the reporting time and venue printed on their admit cards, as schedules may differ from one candidate to another.
Candidates Must Carry Original Documents
Along with a printed copy of the admit card, candidates appearing for the Documentation stage should carry a valid photo identity proof and the original educational, technical and other certificates applicable to their post and category.
Candidates should also read all instructions mentioned on their call letter before reporting to the centre.
What Happens During the Physical Standard Test?
The PST is used to check whether candidates meet the prescribed physical standards applicable under the recruitment rules.
Candidates who do not satisfy the required standards may be eliminated from the recruitment process, subject to the provisions and procedures specified by CISF.
The exact physical requirements and any category-based relaxations are governed by the official recruitment notification.
Selection Process Includes BVAT and Medical Examination
The CISF notification states that the overall recruitment process includes:
Written Examination, Physical Standard Test, Documentation, Basic Vocational Aptitude Test (BVAT) and Medical Examination.
Candidates will have to qualify the applicable stages before final selection. CISF has also clarified that admit cards for different stages will be made available online and will not be sent by post.
