New Delhi, July 9: Prime Minister Narendra Modi concluded his three-nation diplomatic tour covering Indonesia, Australia, and New Zealand, marking an important milestone in India’s efforts to deepen strategic, economic, and technological partnerships across the Indo-Pacific region. During the visit, the Prime Minister held high-level bilateral meetings with the leaders of all three countries, focusing on defence cooperation, trade, investment, emerging technologies, clean energy, and maritime security.
The visit is being viewed as a significant step towards expanding India’s global engagement under its Act East Policy and Indo-Pacific vision.
Stronger India–Indonesia Partnership
The first leg of the visit took Prime Minister Modi to Indonesia, where he held extensive discussions with President Prabowo Subianto.

- Digital public infrastructure

During his visit to Australia, Prime Minister Modi met Australian Prime Minister and senior government officials to review progress under the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.

The Prime Minister’s visit to New Zealand marked a historic moment, becoming the first visit by an Indian Prime Minister to the country in decades.

Both countries expressed their commitment to expanding cooperation across multiple sectors while encouraging greater business engagement.
