HTET 2026 Examination Begins Across Haryana

Chandigarh, July 4: The Haryana Teacher Eligibility Test (HTET) 2026) commenced today across the state, with thousands of candidates appearing at designated examination centres. Conducted by the Board of School Education Haryana (BSEH), the examination is being held under enhanced security arrangements to ensure a fair, transparent, and smooth recruitment process for aspiring teachers.

Candidates reached examination centres early in the morning as authorities implemented strict entry procedures, identity verification, and security checks.

Examination Conducted in Three Levels

The HTET 2026 examination is being conducted for three categories of teaching posts:

  • Level 1 (PRT): Primary Teachers (Classes I–V)
  • Level 2 (TGT): Trained Graduate Teachers (Classes VI–VIII)
  • Level 3 (PGT): Post Graduate Teachers (Classes IX–XII)

Successful candidates will become eligible to apply for teaching positions in government and recognised private schools in Haryana, subject to recruitment notifications and other eligibility requirements.

Tight Security Arrangements

The Haryana Government and BSEH have deployed extensive security measures at examination centres, including CCTV surveillance, biometric verification, frisking of candidates, and the presence of flying squads to prevent malpractice.

Authorities have also enforced restrictions on the use of electronic devices such as mobile phones, smartwatches, Bluetooth gadgets, and other prohibited items inside examination halls.

Guidelines for Candidates

Candidates were advised to carry their HTET admit card, a valid photo identity proof, and other required documents to the examination centre. Entry was permitted only after successful verification by officials.

The Board urged candidates to follow all examination instructions carefully and cooperate with invigilators to ensure the smooth conduct of the test.

Important Step for Teaching Aspirants

The HTET serves as a key eligibility examination for individuals aspiring to join the teaching profession in Haryana. Qualifying the examination is one of the mandatory requirements for applying to various teaching vacancies announced by the state government and affiliated institutions.

Results to Be Announced Later

The Board of School Education Haryana will release the provisional answer key after the examination process is completed, followed by the declaration of results on the official website.
