The Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) on Tuesday, September 1, postponed the registration process for TRE 4.0, hours before candidates were expected to begin applying for 32,388 school teacher vacancies across Bihar.
The online application process was originally scheduled to begin on September 1, 2026, but the commission announced that the start had been deferred due to procedural changes.
BPSC said the revised registration schedule will be announced separately and advised candidates to keep checking official notifications for the new dates.
32,388 Teaching Vacancies
The TRE 4.0 recruitment drive covers a total of 32,388 teacher posts across different school levels in Bihar.
Of these, 3,847 vacancies are for Classes 1 to 5, 8,563 for Classes 6 to 8, 3,877 for Classes 9 and 10, and 16,101 for Classes 11 and 12.
Registration Was Scheduled Till September 30
Under the earlier schedule, the online registration process was expected to run from September 1 to September 30, 2026.
However, following Tuesday’s postponement, candidates will now have to wait for BPSC to issue a revised application timetable.
BPSC Cites Procedural Changes
In its official announcement, the commission said the application process under Advertisement No. 14/2026 had been postponed because of procedural changes related to the recruitment process.
BPSC has not yet announced a specific new registration date.
Candidates Advised to Wait for Official Notice
Applicants preparing for the fourth phase of Bihar’s Teacher Recruitment Examination should avoid relying on unofficial registration links or social media claims until the commission releases the revised schedule.
The postponement affects one of Bihar’s largest ongoing teacher recruitment drives, with thousands of aspirants expected to compete for appointments across primary, middle, secondary and higher-secondary schools.
