According to reports, chicken was served for dinner before the students began falling ill. Complaints regarding the meal have drawn attention to the quality of the food. However, officials have not yet confirmed that food poisoning was responsible for the incident.
Warden Reports Around 28 Cases
The hostel warden said approximately 28 students had developed fever. After receiving information about the situation, she reached the hostel early in the morning and initially provided paracetamol to students who reported symptoms.

Concerns were also raised about the hostel’s drinking water. The college principal said preliminary testing with a TDS meter showed normal readings, with no immediate issue detected. However, further investigation is needed to establish whether the water supply played any role in the illnesses.
