New Delhi, July 8: Devotees across India observed Ashadha Krishna Ashtami with devotion and religious fervour, offering prayers at temples and participating in traditional rituals. The auspicious day, observed during the Krishna Paksha (waning phase of the Moon) in the Hindu month of Ashadha, holds spiritual significance for many devotees who perform special worship, fasting, and charitable activities.

Temples dedicated to Lord Krishna, Lord Shiva, Goddess Durga, and other Hindu deities witnessed an increased flow of devotees from the early hours of the morning.

Special Worship in Temples

Across several states, priests conducted special abhishekams, aartis, Vedic chanting, and devotional prayers. Devotees offered flowers, fruits, sweets, milk, and sacred water while seeking blessings for the well-being, prosperity, and happiness of their families.
