UGC NET City Intimation Slips Released

New Delhi, July 9: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the UGC NET June 2026 City Intimation Slips, allowing candidates to know the city in which their examination centre has been allotted. Applicants appearing for the University Grants Commission – National Eligibility Test (UGC NET) June 2026 are advised to download the intimation slip from the official website and verify their examination details.

The city intimation slip is issued to help candidates make travel and accommodation arrangements before the release of the official admit card.

City Intimation Slip Now Available

Candidates can access the city intimation slip by visiting the official UGC NET portal and logging in with their application credentials.

To download the slip, candidates should:

  • Visit the official NTA UGC NET website.
  • Click on the UGC NET June 2026 City Intimation Slip link.
  • Log in using the application number and date of birth/password.
  • Download and save the slip for future reference.

Not the Admit Card

The NTA has clarified that the city intimation slip is not the admit card.

It only informs candidates about the city where their examination centre is located. The official admit card, containing the exact examination centre address, reporting time, and other instructions, will be released separately before the examination.

Candidates must carry the official admit card along with a valid photo identity proof on the day of the examination.

Examination for Assistant Professor and PhD Admission

UGC NET is conducted to determine the eligibility of candidates for:

  • Assistant Professor
  • Junior Research Fellowship (JRF)
  • Admission to PhD programmes (as applicable under current regulations)

The examination is conducted in multiple subjects at centres across the country.

Candidates Advised to Verify Details

The NTA has advised candidates to carefully verify all information mentioned in the city intimation slip.

In case of any discrepancy, applicants should immediately contact the NTA Help Desk through the official communication channels.

Candidates are also encouraged to regularly check the official portal for updates regarding the admit card, examination schedule, and important instructions.

Follow Official Notifications Only

The NTA has urged candidates not to rely on unofficial websites or social media posts for examination-related information.

All updates, including the release of admit cards and examination notices, will be published exclusively through the official UGC NET website.
