NEW DELHI, October 3: The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has announced the proposed examination dates for three major recruitment examinations — Junior Engineer (JE), Sub-Inspector in Delhi Police and Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs), and Combined Higher Secondary Level (CHSL). The examinations will be conducted between November and December 2026.
SSC Junior Engineer Exam From November 2
The Junior Engineer Examination 2026 Paper-I is scheduled to be conducted from November 2 to November 6, 2026.
The examination will be held in computer-based mode for recruitment to Junior Engineer posts in different central government departments.
Delhi Police and CAPF SI Exam From November 20
The Sub-Inspector in Delhi Police and CAPFs Examination 2026 is scheduled from November 20 to November 28.
The recruitment covers Sub-Inspector posts in Delhi Police as well as participating Central Armed Police Forces.
CHSL Tier-I Begins November 30
SSC will conduct the Combined Higher Secondary Level Tier-I Examination 2026 from November 30 to December 31.
CHSL recruitment is primarily aimed at candidates seeking various central government posts for which Class 12 is the required educational qualification.
Exams to Be Held in Computer-Based Mode
The announced examinations will be conducted as Computer-Based Examinations (CBE).
Candidates should carefully check their examination city, shift timing and reporting instructions once SSC releases the respective admission certificates and city-intimation details.
