Prime Minister Narendra Modi has shared his views on the importance, possibilities and challenges of Artificial Intelligence (AI) at the AI Action Summit 2025 in Paris, the capital of France. Representatives from more than 100 countries participated in the AI Action Submit 2025. And this Summit was also attended by French President Emmanuel Macron.

Speaking at the AI Action Summit 2025 PM Modi highlighted the positive impact of AI and how it is transforming every aspect of our lives. Along with this, he has also expressed the need to pay attention to its misuse.

At the summit Prime Minister Modi explained through an example how AI is impacting our lives. He said that if a person uploads his medical report on the AI application, it can analyze the disease without any mistake. But if the same AI is asked to understand a person’s handwriting or draw a picture, then it is possible that it will get errors.

Linking it to training data, he explained that the output of AI depends entirely on the data from which it has been trained. This shows that there is a need to understand the positive aspects of AI as well as its limitations and challenges.

The rapid adoption of AI and its impact on society

PM Modi also stressed that AI is no longer just a technological innovation, but it is also impacting politics, economy, security and society. He described it as the most important technology of the 21st century, which is opening new dimensions for humanity.

Discussing the rapidly increasing acceptance of AI, Prime Minister Modi said that it is being adopted across the world at a much faster pace than expected. This technology has created new possibilities in areas like health, education, finance, agriculture and security.

The challenges of AI and the need for policies

He also said that India did not see AI as a mere technological advancement, but considered it as an instrument of social transformation and inclusive growth. Under the India AI Mission, India is working to promote AI innovation in various fields, which will not only benefit the citizens of the country but will also make a significant contribution at the global level.
