Rahul Gandhi, Congress MP and Leader of the Opposition in Lok Sabha, has addressed a letter to Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. In this letter, he has demanded appropriate action in the murder case of Arjun Pasi, who runs a hair cutting shop in Rae Bareli. Rahul Gandhi alleges that the main accused in this case, Vishal Singh, is not being arrested due to political protection.
What is the whole matter?
Actually, on August 11, a Dalit youth Arjun Pasi was shot dead in Rahul Gandhi’s parliamentary constituency Rae Bareli. Arjun operated a barbershop. The family of the deceased alleges that Arjun had asked for money for cutting hair from the bullies, due to which he was killed in anger. The police arrested six accused in this case, but the main accused Vishal Singh is absconding. The family of the deceased says that Vishal Singh is not being arrested due to political protection. Rahul Gandhi also met the victim’s family and expressed condolences to them.
Rahul Gandhi sent a letter to CM Yogi
In a letter written to Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Rahul Gandhi has said that he went to the house of the victim’s family and expressed condolences. There the family members told that out of the seven named accused in the incident, six have been arrested, but the main accused Vishal Singh has not been arrested yet. Rahul Gandhi also said that the family and the people of the village have informed him that Vishal Singh is getting political protection, due to which he is not being arrested.

At the same time, Rahul Gandhi has said in the letter that despite two weeks having passed since the incident, the victim’s family and the local Dalit society are living in fear and insecurity due to the non-arrest of the main accused. Along with this, a poor and exploited Dalit family is being deprived of justice. Rahul Gandhi has urged Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath to arrest the main accused soon so that the victim’s family can get justice. He has also requested that information about the action taken in this regard be provided to him.
The increasing criminal cases in the country are troubling the people, but whether it is a case of murder or rape, the political parties are answering the questions in their own way. But in such a situation, can these incidents be curbed quickly?
