New Delhi, October 29, 2026: IIT Delhi’s Continuing Education Programme has introduced a six-month Executive Certificate in Agentic AI Systems: Foundation to Deployment, aimed at professionals looking to design, build and deploy autonomous AI systems for enterprise use.
Focus on Agentic AI
Unlike conventional generative AI systems that mainly create content, agentic AI can reason, plan, retrieve information, use external tools and carry out sequences of actions toward a defined goal.
Eight Core Modules
The curriculum covers eight major areas, including:
- Foundations of Agentic AI
- Prompt engineering
- Autonomous agent design
- Enterprise knowledge systems
- Multi-agent orchestration
- AI Trust, Risk and Security Management
- Application deployment
- Enterprise-scale operations
LLMs, RAG and MCP Included
Participants will work with technologies such as large language models, Retrieval-Augmented Generation and Model Context Protocol.
The programme also introduces tools and frameworks including LangGraph, CrewAI and AutoGen.
Security and Governance Get Special Focus
A dedicated AI TRiSM module will cover model governance, explainability, security and regulatory compliance.
The aim is to help professionals understand how autonomous AI systems can be deployed responsibly in enterprises.
Practical Projects Included
Learners will build AI assistants, knowledge-retrieval applications and multi-agent workflows.
The programme concludes with a capstone project requiring participants to create an end-to-end agentic AI application.

Participants who meet attendance and assessment requirements will receive an e-certificate from CEP, IIT Delhi.
The learning format combines live faculty-led sessions with asynchronous resources, while an optional campus immersion is also available.

The course comes as businesses increasingly experiment with AI agents for customer service, information retrieval and business-process automation.
