Many stringent laws have been enacted to protect women in the country, but we need to activate them further. PM Modi further stated that the faster the decisions in cases related to female atrocities come, the stronger the security of half the population. Also, women will be equally confident. Prime Minister Modi said that we have got a new Indian justice legislation, the Indian Code of Justice. The focus of the new criminal law is on strengthening the safety and rights of women and children.
Supreme Court protected our fundamental rights
On the occasion of the completion of 75 years of the Supreme Court (Supreme Court), Prime Minister Modi said that it is not just a visit to an institution. It is a journey of the constitution and constitutional values of India. This journey is to mature more of India as a democracy. He said that the Supreme Court has always upheld our trust and confidence in our institution. Even in times of emergency, the Supreme Court protected our fundamental rights. And whenever the question of national interest arose, the Supreme Court always protected national integrity. All Indians have always believed our Supreme Court, our judiciary.
There have been many levels of work in the last decade
Prime Minister Modi said that he “has been working at several levels over the past decade to eliminate justice delays. In the last ten years, the country has spent around 8 thousand crores to strengthen the judicial infrastructure. In the last 25 years, 75% of the amount spent on this item has been done in the last ten years.
