Every day, crores of people of India dream of a united India. This is not just a dream but the devotion and loyalty of these people. These are the people who see and worship the land of India as a mother. They wake up in the morning and touch the soil of this land to their forehead with the national slogan of Vande Mataram. How can such countless Indians forget the pain of the partition of their motherland, how can they abandon the resolution of a united India again? It is for such people that Akhand Bharat Sankalp Diwas is celebrated every year on 14th August.
On 15th August 1947, we got freedom from the captivity of the British, but along with it, our beloved motherland also got the deep wound of partition. This pain of partition still stings the hearts of Indians every day like a sore. Because this partition not only divided the land, it also divided the thousands of years old historical and cultural heritage of our motherland.
Partition and its consequences
The British divided this land into three parts on 14 August 1947, a day before India was granted independence on 15 August 1947. One part was India, the second was West Pakistan and the third was East Pakistan which became Bangladesh on 26 March 1971 with the help of India. During this partition, millions of people were killed and displaced. We also lost many important historical and cultural heritages like the Indus River, Kot Lakhpat Jail, Hinglaj Mata, Nankana Sahib.
Why is Akhand Bharat needed?
Historical and cultural unity is necessary for Akhand Bharat. However, to reach this goal, we will have to go through the rocky and thorny path of reality, because today many religious, political and international forces are standing as obstacles in the way of Akhand Bharat. Despite all this, many Hindu organizations like RSS are working to achieve the goal of Akhand Bharat.
Benefits of Akhand Bharat
It is a matter of time when India will become Akhand again, but if it happens, many benefits can be obtained. Akhand Bharat will reduce the number of enemies, due to which the money spent in the defense budget can be spent on the development of the country and public welfare. Also, it will become easier to reach the religious and historical places that are currently in other countries. Unity will also speed up the development and progress of the country.
India has the military power to make a divided India united. But can Akhand Bharat be formed after victory through military action or attack? Probably not, because a nation is formed only when people come together. The path to unity is cultural and religious. The basis of India’s unity is also more in culture and history than geography. Therefore, we will have to move towards Akhand Bharat along with religious and cultural unity.
Let us work shoulder to shoulder to turn the dream of a united India into reality.
Bharat Mata ki Jai!
