This act worsened the situation.

Police action

When the police got the news of stone-pelting, they took immediate action. The police had to lathi charge to disperse the crowd. During this, some people also got lightly injured. As soon as the news of the ruckus in Bhilwara was received, District Collector Namit Mehta and Superintendent of Police Rajan Dushyant immediately reached the spot. There were about 200 policemen with them. The administration tried to maintain peace in the city by patrolling throughout the night.

After this incident, many religious leaders of Bhilwara city appealed to the people to maintain peace. He said that we should give the message of unity and brotherhood, not violence.

Superintendent of Police Rajan Dushyant said that the situation in the city is now under control. He said, “We have immediately registered an FIR, and the culprits will be caught soon. Do not spread any kind of rumor.” After this incident, the police are taking a special vigil on the festival of Janmashtami. Additional police force has been deployed in all sensitive areas of the city. Bhilwara Collector Namit Mehta has appealed to the people to maintain peace. “We all have to help our city remain peaceful and harmonic,” he remarked. Do not pay attention to any kind of rumor.” The administration has said that they will investigate the matter deeply. Whoever is behind this incident will be given strict punishment. Also, steps will be taken to prevent such incidents in the future.
