After nearly seven years, Chandan Gupta (Chandan Gupta Murder Case), who was killed in the riots during the Tiranga Yatra in Kasganj, UP, has got justice. Let us tell you that Chandan Gupta was murdered during the Tiranga Yatra on 26 January 2018 in Kasganj. The NIA court of Lucknow on Thursday convicted 28 people in the case of murder of Chandan Gupta. During the hearing, the court found 28 accused guilty, while two were acquitted due to lack of evidence. 28 people were convicted in the case of murder, attempt to murder, rioting and insulting the national flag. Let us tell you that in September 2019, the Kasganj Sessions Court framed charges against 23 persons. Later in November 2019, charges were framed against additional seven persons.
Chandan was shot during the Tiranga Yatra (Chandan Gupta Murder Case)
On 26 January 2018, Vishwa Hindu Parishad and Hindu Yuva Vahini activists came out on about 100 motorcycles carrying the tricolor and saffron flags. ABVP activist Chandan Gupta was also involved in this Tiranga Yatra. During the Tiranga Yatra, Chandan was stopped near the Government Girls Inter College by Salim, Wasim and Naseem and others. Meanwhile, during the Yatra, there was a clash between some local Muslim youths. The clash turned into a riot and the atmosphere became tense in a blink of an eye. The dispute escalated so much that stone pelting took place. After this, Salim allegedly shot Chandan (Chandan Gupta Murder Case). And he died during treatment. After the death, the situation in Kasganj was tense for several days. The tension was so much that there were riots there for a week.

Chandan’s (Chandan Gupta Murder Case) mother said that “This decision has given me peace.
Chandan’s parents have welcomed the court’s decision. They had demanded death penalty for the culprits. With moist eyes, Chandan’s (Chandan Gupta Murder Case) mother said that “This decision has given me peace. It feels as if my son Chandan is still in our house.” She said that “all the culprits should be given death penalty.” Let us tell you that Wasim Javed, Naseem, Zahid, Faizan, Munajir Rafi, Aslam, Taufiq, Khillan, Asif Jimwala have been sentenced to life imprisonment for the murder of Chandan. Apart from these, Imran, Saqir, Shawab Ali, Zeeshan, Rahat, Mohsin, Zafar, Shamshad, Khalid Parvez, Faizan, Aamir, Rafi, Salim, Munajir have also been sentenced to life imprisonment.
