The police has arrested the main accused in the famous journalist Mukesh Chandrakar murder case of Chhattisgarh. The accused, who was absconding since the incident, has been detained by the SIT from Hyderabad. Bastar police gave information about the arrest of the main accused. After arresting the accused, the police has reached Bijapur with him. Here the police will interrogate Suresh Chandrakar.

Revealing the journalist Mukesh Chandrakar murder case, police officials said that “the accused Suresh Chandrakar was absconding since the murder.” He further said that “The SIT formed to investigate the matter arrested Suresh from Hyderabad late on Sunday night.” Officials said Suresh Chandrakar’s brothers Ritesh Chandrakar and Dinesh Chandrakar, and supervisor Mahendra Ramteke have already been arrested in the case. “According to police, journalist Mukesh Chandrakar (33) went missing on January 1 and his body was recovered from a septic tank on the property of contractor Suresh Chandrakar in Chattanpara basti of Bijapur city on January 3.”

According to Bastar IG, “On January 1, at around 8 pm, Mukesh and Ritesh talked on the phone. After this, both of them met at the bara located in Chattan Para. Here, there was an argument between the two regarding the road issue. Meanwhile, Mahendra Ramteke attacked Mukesh (Mukesh Chandrakar Murder Case) from behind with a rod and then attacked him continuously. Mukesh died within 20 minutes. After the incident, Ritesh Chandrakar fled to Delhi via Raipur. After returning to Raipur, Ritesh was arrested from Raipur Airport.
