Raksha Bandhan isn’t just about Bhadra; it’s also about Panchak

Raksha Bandhan

The festival of Raksha Bandhan is a symbol of the unwavering love and trust of brothers and sisters. This year, the country will celebrate with pomp and gaiety on August 19. This is one of India’s most important and attractive festivals. On Raksha Bandhan, sisters tie rakhi to their brothers’ wrists and pray for their long lives and prosperity. This year, we will celebrate the Raksha Bandhan festival amidst numerous celestial events that shadow not only Bhadra but also Panchak. Sisters and brothers are frightened and eager because this synchronicity affects the auspiciousness and muhurat of the occasion.

1) Bhadra ka Saya

Bhadra, traditionally considered an inauspicious period, will take place on Raksha Bandhan until 12:30 p.m. The effect will last for one and a half hours. During the Bhadra period, it is forbidden to do any auspicious work, especially tying rakhi. People fear that tying rakhi during this period will bring inauspicious results. Old beliefs suggest refraining from new work or religious rituals during Bhadra, as this period symbolizes unrest and conflict.

2) Panch ka prabhav

This time, the Panchak will also be present on Raksha Bandhan Day. The pentacle holds a unique astrological position. Traveling, starting a new job, shopping, building a house, and other important tasks were considered taboo in the Panchaka period. On Sawan Purnima, at 8:12 p.m., the Moon will enter the sign of Aquarius, starting the Panchakas. Although astrologers say these almanacs will not damage you, it is important to celebrate Raksha Bandhan by keeping to the auspicious muhurat. During this period, you may experience work failures, which can reduce unlucky events.

3) Panchak mahurat

The auspicious time to tie Rakhi on Monday, August 19, will be from 1:30 p.m. onward. From this time till 8:12 pm, you can tie rakhi. This day is particularly significant because it is the last Monday of Sawan’s month. This day also sees the preparation of shobhan and sarvarth siddhi yogas, adding to its significance.

4) Savidhan aur manaytay

This year, there’s no need to worry about Bhadra and Panchak’s Raksha Bandhan shadows. You can celebrate this festival appropriately by adhering to the correct procedures and rituals. This is the time to show your love and respect for one another while celebrating family happiness.

Hindus commemorate the relationship between a brother and sister on Raksha Bandhan. This day has a special meaning in our social and familial lives, in addition to being noteworthy from a religious perspective. Therefore, in order to improve your relationships, observe this holy event at the appropriate time and in the appropriate manner.
