The terror attack in Ganderbal has sent shockwaves across the country. Many innocent people lost their lives in this tragic incident, which has filled deep sorrow and anger in everyone’s heart. The Ganderbal terror attack took place on Sunday night when terrorists suddenly attacked laborers working on a tunnel project in the Sonamarg area of the Ganderbal district. Seven people, including a doctor, were killed and five others were seriously injured in the incident.
The injured have been admitted to the medical college hospital
As soon as the information was received, the police started investigating the matter. A search operation is underway in the area to nab the terrorists. The injured have been shifted to the Sher-i-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences in Srinagar.
The attack on tunnel workers in Jammu and Kashmir is a very sad incident. The laborers were working on the Z-Morh tunnel, which connects Gagangir Valley in central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district with Sonamarg. Most of the workers who worked on the project came from other states. All the laborers were having dinner at the time of the incident. Suddenly, three terrorists reached the spot and started firing indiscriminately. Six people died on the spot, while one died on the way to the hospital. Initial investigations by security agencies have revealed that the attack was carried out by The Resistance Front, an outfit linked to the Lashkar-e-Taiba. It is believed that the terrorists had infiltrated the area a few days ago.
The attack took place at around 8:30 pm when the laborers were having their dinner. The terrorists took advantage of this time because everyone was gathered in one place at this time. Two vehicles were also damaged in the attack. The place where the attack took place was extremely safe during the Amarnath Yatra. But after the journey is over, the security here is reduced. Due to heavy snowfall in winter, the presence of security forces here is very low. Terrorists took advantage of this.

Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha condemned the attack. “The culprits will be arrested soon and punished. The incident has once again raised questions about the security situation in Jammu and Kashmir. Security will be tightened in the coming days so that such incidents are not repeated.
