The annual Urs of Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti has started in Ajmer Sharif from 28 December. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will offer chadar at Ajmer Sharif Dargah for the 11th time this time. On his behalf, Union Minister Kiren Rijiju will offer chadar at Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti’s dargah on 4 January. Well, meanwhile, Hindu Sena has opposed the offering of chadar at Ajmer Sharif on behalf of the Prime Minister. They claim that this dargah is actually Sankat Mochan Mahadev Temple. The organization’s president Vishnu Gupta has written a letter to the Principal Secretary in the PMO and demanded that the program of offering chadar at the dargah by the PM be postponed till the time the dargah-temple matter is pending in the court.
Opposition to the offering of chadar by PM Modi (PM Modi Ajmer Sharif step)
Hindu Sena has openly opposed the offering of chadar by Prime Minister Modi at Ajmer Sharif (PM Modi Ajmer Sharif step). Hindu Sena’s National President Vishnu Gupta wrote a letter to the PMO and appealed that “PM Modi should not do this.” In a letter to the Principal Secretary, Gupta said that “he is the petitioner in the Sankat Mochan Mahadev Temple vs Ajmer Dargah Khwaja Saheb case and the matter is pending in Ajmer West District Court.” In the letter, he also claimed that “in this case, he has presented sufficient evidence in the court that an ancient Hindu Shiva temple exists in Ajmer Sharif. And it was built by the Chauhan dynasty.” He also requested in the letter that “until the court’s decision comes in this matter, the offering of chadar at the dargah by the PM should be postponed.” Let us tell you that in this case, he has demanded a scientific survey of the entire Ajmer Dargah Sharif complex. Well, Gupta’s petition is to be heard on January 24.

PM Modi has offered chadar ten times before (PM Modi Ajmer Sharif step)
It is not that PM Modi is sending a chadar for the first time. Last time also the Prime Minister had sent a chadar to the dargah (PM Modi Ajmer Sharif step) which was saffron in colour. Rajasthan state president of BJP Minority Morcha Jamal Siddiqui had offered chadar at the dargah on behalf of the PM and even before that Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi used to offer chadar on behalf of PM Modi.
