Quad Nations Stand with India: Strong Global Condemnation of Pahalgam Terror Attack

The deadly terror attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, that killed several innocent people in April 2025 shocked the entire nation. Tourists, families, and locals were enjoying the natural beauty of the area when armed militants suddenly opened fire. Many were killed, including women and children. It was one of the worst terror attacks in India in recent years. The Indian government quickly started an investigation and promised that those responsible would be punished. As soon as the news of the attack spread, there was anger and sadness not only in India but around the world. Several countries expressed their support for India. The European Union (EU) and G7 countries also issued statements, saying that India has the right to protect its people and respond to attacks. They urged all countries to work together to stop terrorism and avoid actions that could increase tensions.

Meanwhile, India also took strong steps inside the country. The security forces launched a search operation in and around Pahalgam to catch those involved in the attack. Investigators found clues linking the attackers to a group called The Resistance Front, which is believed to have links to the Pakistan-based terror outfit Lashkar-e-Taiba. The Indian government also reviewed its diplomatic ties with Pakistan, saying that no support to terrorism can be tolerated. In his conversations with global leaders, Minister S. Jaishankar made India’s position very clear. He said that countries should not try to balance the situation by treating both sides equally. According to him, terrorists and victims are not the same and should never be treated as if they are. He especially thanked the United Kingdom, whose government stood with India and called the attack a clear act of terrorism.
