After this, about 11 minutes later, a strong tremor of 6.4 magnitude came. The earthquake tremors were so intense that many buildings collapsed. People were terrified by this sudden earthquake. There was an atmosphere of chaos all around. The scene of devastation is such that more than 700 people are feared dead in this earthquake. The death toll is expected to increase. Thousands of people are said to be injured. At present, the rescue operation is going on. The rescue operation is still going on, due to which the death toll is expected to increase as the rescue work continues. Not only this, the tremors of the earthquake in Myanmar were felt even in the neighboring country Thailand. A high-rise building under construction collapsed in Bangkok, neighboring Thailand, killing at least 10 people. In Myanmar, the most damaged city was Mandalay, which has a population of 1.5 million. Rescue operations are underway here. After the main earthquake, a 4.2 magnitude tremor hit Myanmar at 11:56 pm local time on Friday. Amidst this tremor, the National Center for Seismology confirmed that the tremor came at a depth of 10 km. Due to which the possibility of further tremors has increased.

Relief operations have been started after the massive earthquake in Myanmar. United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres announced that “the United Nations is mobilizing in Southeast Asia to help those in need, $5 million has been allocated for relief.” So US President Donald Trump said that “he has spoken to officials in Myanmar and confirmed that his administration will provide assistance to the country.” The Myanmar government has spoken of the need for blood in the most affected areas. In this difficult time, India has also extended a helping hand to Myanmar . It is being said that India will send more than 15 tonnes of relief material to Myanmar, including sleeping bags, food, tents, hygiene kits and essential medicines. According to the information, this help will be delivered to the country through the Indian Air Force C-130J aircraft from Air Force Station Hindon.
