Canada and China retaliated with tariffs on the United States.

The new 25% tariff imposed by Donald Trump on Canada and Mexico has come into effect. At the same time, the US has also imposed 20% tariffs on Chinese goods. Now these countries have started retaliating against the US. China has responded to the US by announcing tariffs of 10 to 20% on a number of American goods. Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has also said that he is imposing 25% tariffs on 30 billion Canadian dollars worth of goods coming from the US. The remaining 125 billion Canadian dollars worth of U.S. goods will be subject to tariffs after 21 days. Mexico has also said it will soon impose new tariffs on US goods.
