A total of 26 hostages, including 18 security personnel, lost their lives in this incident.

Apart from this, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Hafiz Baloch said that “This attack took place in Gwadar district late Wednesday night, when some armed attackers stopped a passenger bus near Kalmat area on Ormara Highway and opened fire (Balochistan bus attack). Five passengers died on the spot in this attack, while another passenger died in the hospital on Thursday.” The Superintendent of Police further said that “The attackers killed six people after checking the identity cards of the passengers and took three others with them. All the victims were residents of Punjab province. However, no organization has taken responsibility for this attack so far. Let us tell you that the militants also stopped three trucks carrying fertilizer from Gwadar port by obstructing the road and then set them on fire.”

In this attack, seven members of a family including a woman and three children were brutally killed. According to the police, this crime took place due to the ongoing land dispute between two groups. The police is calling it a case related to mutual rivalry.
