More than 1.25 crore people attended the Maha Kumbh Mela here every day, while more than 50 lakh foreign devotees also reached Prayagraj. People from more than 70 countries participated in this historic gathering. Its grandeur can be gauged from the fact that the number of people who reached the Mahakumbh was twice the total population of America and it was more than the total population of more than 100 countries of the world. It was not just a religious event but a grand display of India’s spiritual and cultural strength.
Special arrangements made by security and administration
Over 70,000 security personnel were deployed to ensure smooth conduct of the mega event. These included over 37,000 policemen, over 14,000 home guards and CRPF personnel. The role of police and security personnel in the successful conduct of Kumbh was highly appreciated.

World record in cleanliness
In Mahakumbh 2025, not only the number of devotees created a world record, but the cleanliness campaign also created a new history. In this event, 19,000 sanitation workers together cleaned the entire fair and made their place in the Guinness World Record. In the 2019 Kumbh, the number was 10,000, which was almost doubled this time.

President Droupadi Murmu, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Chief Ministers of many states, film stars and big personalities of the sports world also took a dip in the Sangam. The arrangements made by the state government in the Mahakumbh were also praised. However, the image of the event was slightly tarnished by the unfortunate incident of stampede on Mauni Amavasya in which 30 people died. Despite this, the faith of the devotees remained unwavering and the arrival of people continued unabated.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath visited Maha Kumbh 2025 city 10 times within 45 days and made a thorough inspection of the arrangements.
