Hindenburg Research has once again created a sensation in the Indian market. Everyone has been shocked by his new post, and they are now eagerly anticipating what will happen next. Will there be a big reveal again? In such a scenario, the question is: who is following Adani? Can we say that Hindenburg Research is once again gearing up to dominate the Indian market? Yes, this is the same Hindenburg Research that caused a stir in the country last year when they released a report about the Adani Group. Now they are preparing for another big revelation.
Hindenburg Research wrote a post on X
Hindenburg Research recently published a post on X (formerly known as Twitter). “Something big is going to happen in India soon,” he wrote. This has created a stir in the market. When did Hindenburg Research issue its Adani Group research on January 24, 2023? He accused Adani Group of stock manipulation and fraud in the report. This announcement reduced Adani Group’s market value by $86 billion. Adani’s overseas bonds also fell.
Hindenburg Research’s most recent warning
Adani Enterprises had planned to offer $2.5 billion worth of fresh stock on the market at the time of this story’s release. As a result of Hindenburg Research’s claims, Adani shares plummeted, rocking the Indian market. Shares of various Adani Group companies fell by more than $100 billion after the report.
Adani Group has denied the allegations
The Adani Group has repeatedly denied the allegations made by Hindenburg Research. Mahesh Jethmalani, a BJP leader and lawyer, made a significant allegation in July 2024. He added that Hindenburg Research had received funding to produce a report on the Adani Group from an American businessman with ties to China. China’s reaction, he claimed, motivated the story. China had taken this step to exclude India from big projects like Haifa Port. American businessman Mark Kingdon, who started Kingdon Capital Management LLC, had hired Hindenburg Research to produce a report on the Adani Group, Jethmalani said. He said that the purpose of this report was to earn crores of rupees by short-selling by dropping Adani shares.
The apex court had acquitted the Adani Group on the basis of SEBI’s report
While investigating the matter, the Supreme Court of India acquitted the Adani Group’s charges based on SEBI’s report. Following this, the Supreme Court also rejected the demand to form a court-monitored Special Investigation Team (SIT) in the Adani-Hindenberg case. So, now the question is: who could be the next target of Hindenburg research? The new post by Hindenburg Research on X has once again created a stir in the Indian market. All eyes are now on what happens next.
