Mahakumbh, which is called the world’s largest religious event, has started from Monday (January 13). Today will be the first royal bath (Shahi Snan 2025) of Mahakumbh. It is also called Amrit Snan. Let us tell you that this is happening on Paush Purnima. Purnima Tithi will start on January 13 i.e. at 5:03 am, which will end on January 14 at midnight at 3:56 am. Talking about the auspicious time of Shahi Snan, Brahma Muhurta will be from 5:27 am to 6:21 am. Vijay Muhurta will be between 2:15 pm to 2:57 pm. After this, there will be twilight time from 5:42 pm to 6:09 pm and Nishita Muhurta will be from 12:03 pm to 12:57 pm.

About 40 crore devotees are expected to come in the Maha Kumbh which will last for about one and a half months. Here the devotees will not only take bath in the holy Sangam but will also do Kalpavas on the holy banks of Sangam. The third Shahi Snan will be on the day of Mauni Amavasya falling on 29 January 2025. Talking about the fourth bath, it will be on 3 February 2025, Basant Panchami. The fifth Shahi Snan will be held on 12 February 2025 (Magh Purnima) and the last Shahi Snan will be held on 26 February 2025 on the day of Mahashivratri.

Naga Sadhus have been given priority for bathing for centuries. Let us tell you that Naga Sadhus bathe first in Maha Kumbh. As far as householders are concerned, householders should bathe in Sangam only after Naga Sadhus. While bathing, 5 dips have to be taken. It is said that bathing is considered complete only after taking 5 dips during bathing. The important thing is that do not use soap or shampoo at all while bathing. Because these make the holy water impure.
