A major terror attack has taken place in Jammu and Kashmir. The 2 Indian Army soldiers were abducted at gunpoint by some terrorists at Shangas in the Kokernag area of Anantnag district, but one of them managed to escape after dodging the terrorists. The Army, Jammu and Kashmir Police, and other security forces are carrying out the search operation.
A young man managed to escape from the clutches of terrorists
According to the Indian Army, the jawan who has been abducted by the terrorists is from the Territorial Army. The terrorists had abducted the two Jawans from the forest. The Army, however, did not say whether the two jawans were on duty at the time of the incident but said one of them was found injured and had somehow managed to escape from the clutches of the terrorists. The army is interrogating this young man and collecting information about the terrorists.
The incident took place at a time when the results of the assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir were being announced. Militants had earlier abducted a Territorial Army jawan, Shakir Manzoor Wagay, in August 2020. At that time, the security forces had launched a massive search operation to find the missing jawan, but the jawan could not be traced. Five days after the incident, Shakir Manzoor’s clothes were found by his family near the house. About a year later, Shakir Manzoor’s body was found.

2 terrorists killed in last week’s encounter
The security forces have prevented a major terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir. On October 4, security forces killed two militants while they were trying to infiltrate along the LoC in the Gugaldhar area of Kupwara district. The terrorists were trying to infiltrate into India from Pakistan. Security forces have recovered a huge amount of arms and ammunition from the slain terrorists. In September, security forces killed more than 15 terrorists.
