Two terrorists trying to infiltrate near the Line of Control (LoC) in Naushera area of Jammu-Kashmir were killed. The terrorists killed had entered India from Pakistan armed with heavy weapons. After the encounter, the army has recovered a large quantity of weapons, along with 2 AK-47s and 1 pistol, from the terrorists. The army is conducting search operations by staying on high alert in the entire area.

The White Knight Corps of the Indian Army, while giving information about the incident on its X post, said that information about possible infiltration was received from intelligence agencies and Jammu and Kashmir Police. On the basis of which the army conducted a search operation in the Lam sector of Naushera at midnight on 8 and 9 September. During this, the soldiers had an encounter with the terrorists hiding in the forest. The army retaliated and killed both the terrorists there. Both these terrorists were heavily armed.

The army said that ‘the soldiers have killed two terrorists and recovered two AK-47s and a pistol, along with many other heavy weapons from them. After the encounter, the army’s search operation is continuing in the surrounding area.’ Talking to the media, army officials said that “vigilance has been increased in the entire area. Strict surveillance was kept throughout the night, and the search operation has been started again since Monday morning.” The army suspects other terrorists hiding in this area.
