During this, Simi Rose Bel Jan had said that even inside the Congress party, women have to face ‘casting couch’ to move forward and get a position. Without this, the support of big leaders is not available. After this statement of Simi Rose came to light, the Kerala Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) expelled her from the party.
KPCC issued a statement and clarified
KPCC General Secretary M Liju issued a statement and said, “The purpose of the allegations made by Simi Rose Bel Jan is only and only political selfishness. She, along with our political opponents, wants to defame and mentally harass lakhs of women workers in Congress. On making such baseless allegations, the women leaders and workers of KPCC had requested to take action against her. Due to which Simi Rose was expelled from the party.”
Women have to face exploitation.
On the other hand, on the allegations of the party, Simi Rose Bel Jan said, “Women who want to protect their pride and dignity cannot work in the Congress party. Because here women have to face exploitation. If someone opposes this, then he is expelled from the party itself.” Simi Rose also said during this time, “Soon other women may also reveal this truth.”
