Shiv Sena leader Tanaji Sawant, a minister in the Maharashtra government, has created a controversy by making a statement against the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP).
Tanaji Sawant said that he never got along with the Ajit faction of NCP. Sitting in the cabinet with NCP leaders makes him feel nauseous. I can never tolerate these leaders. After this statement of Sawant, a new rift has started in the Mahayuti. The Ajit Pawar faction has given a strict warning to Shiv Sena.
Statement
Addressing a meeting organized in Dharashiv, Tanaji Sawant said, “I am a staunch Shiv Sainik, whoever is a staunch Shiv Sainik like me can never sit with the Nationalist Congress and Congress. Sitting with them makes me feel unwell. I cannot tolerate them, because our views are completely different from each other. Even today, when I attend a cabinet meeting, I start vomiting after coming out of it. This is the truth, because you cannot change your views in a day. If someone suddenly says that forget everything and work together, then this cannot happen.”
NCP seeks answer from CM Shinde
Ever since Tanaji Sawant’s statement, the Ajit Pawar faction’s NCP has become aggressive on Shinde’s Shiv Sena. NCP has warned of exiting the alliance and has also sought an answer from CM Eknath Shinde. NCP MLC Amol Mitkari said, “Tanaji Sawant himself is the health minister, but he does not know why he is vomiting. Maybe his health has something to do with it. If he is vomiting because of being in the Mahayuti alliance, then only Eknath Shinde can answer it.”
Umesh Patil on such Statements
On the other hand, NCP spokesperson Umesh Patil said that it is better to separate ourselves from power and alliance rather than listening to such statements from Tanaji Sawant. NCP is neither desperate for power nor is it in the Mahagathbandhan because of Tanaji Sawant.
On the contrary, Tanaji Sawant himself has become a minister today because of this Mahagathbandhan. If Sawant is talking like this, then I request the party leadership that it would be better to get out of the Mahagathbandhan.
