New Delhi, July 3: The University of Delhi (DU) has commenced Phase 2 of the Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS) 2026 for undergraduate admissions today. Eligible candidates who have completed Phase 1 registration can now log in to the CSAS portal to fill in their programme and college preferences based on their CUET (UG) 2026 scores.
The university has also announced that the first seat allotment list will be released on July 16, marking the beginning of the admission process for the 2026–27 academic session.
Preference Filling Window Opens
During Phase 2, candidates are required to carefully select their preferred undergraduate programmes and colleges in order of priority. The university has advised applicants to review eligibility criteria, programme requirements, and seat availability before locking their preferences.
Students can modify their choices until the preference submission window closes. Once the deadline passes, no further changes will be permitted.
Admissions Based on CUET Scores
Delhi University is continuing admissions through the Common University Entrance Test (CUET-UG), conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA). Seat allocation under CSAS will be based on CUET scores, programme-specific eligibility, reservation policies, and the preferences submitted by candidates.
The university has urged applicants to verify all personal details and uploaded documents to avoid delays during the admission process.
Seat Allotment Schedule
According to the admission calendar released by Delhi University, the first round of seat allocation is scheduled for July 16. Candidates who receive an allotted seat must accept it within the stipulated timeline, after which colleges will verify documents online before confirming admission.
Subsequent rounds of seat allotment will be conducted based on vacant seats and candidate preferences.
Guidance for Applicants
The university has advised candidates to regularly monitor the official CSAS admission portal for updates, counselling schedules, and important announcements. Students should avoid relying on unofficial sources and ensure that all admission-related actions are completed within the prescribed deadlines.
Officials have also encouraged applicants to keep scanned copies of required documents ready for the online verification process.
Smooth Admission Process Expected
Delhi University expects lakhs of students from across the country to participate in this year’s undergraduate admission process. The CSAS platform has been designed to provide a transparent, efficient, and merit-based system for allocating seats across the university’s constituent colleges.
