The finale of ‘Smart India Hackathon 2024‘ has been organized. This time the youth have participated enthusiastically in this event. In this, youth and students will be seen finding new solutions for many problems. Not only this, Prime Minister Modi will also participate in this Smart India Hackathon through video conferencing. This information has been given by the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) itself. Let us tell you that this year, more than 250 problem statements have been submitted by 54 ministries, departments, state governments, public sector undertakings and industries. The PMO said that “internal hackathons at the institute level have registered a growth of 150 per cent, from over 900 in SIH 2023 to about 2,247 in SIH 2024, making it the largest edition ever.” Let us tell you that more than 86,000 teams have participated in SIH 2024 at the institute level and about 49,000 student teams have been recommended by these institutes for the national level.

According to the information provided by the PMO, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will interact with the youth through video conference in the Grand Finale of ‘Smart India Hackathon 2024’ on Wednesday and then address them. According to the PMO, the Prime Minister will interact with young innovators in the Grand Finale through video conferencing at around 4.30 pm on Wednesday. According to the information given by the PMO, more than 1300 student teams will participate in the grand finale of this year’s hackathon at 51 nodal centers across the country. The PMO said that “Internal hackathons at the institute level registered a growth of 150 percent this year, making it the largest edition ever.”

Students will present their ideas on any of the 17 topics related to areas of national importance

The PMO also said that “The software version will run nonstop for 36 hours, while the hardware version will continue from 11 to 15 December 2024. Like previous editions of Smart India Hackathon, student teams will either work on problem statements given by ministries or departments or industries or present their ideas in the student innovation category on any of the 17 topics related to areas of national importance.” Let us tell you that these areas will mainly be healthcare, supply chain and heritage and culture, sustainability, logistics, smart technologies, education and skill development, water, agriculture and food, emerging technologies and disaster management. According to the information received, some of the interesting problems presented in this year’s edition include ‘Enhancing images of deep areas on the moon’ presented by ISRO, ‘Developing a real-time Ganga water quality monitoring system using AI satellite data, IoT and dynamic models’ presented by the Ministry of Jal Shakti and ‘Development of a smart yoga mat integrated with AI’ presented by the Ministry of AYUSH.
