After a big buzz, Apple has finally launched the new iPad mini, globally and also in India. The starting price set for this iPad in India is Rs. 49,900. The new iPad mini is powered by the A17 Pro, the same chipset that Apple had installed in the iPhone 15 Pro earlier. Apple claims that the iPad mini is AI-ready as well as supporting Apple Pencil. This launch was much-awaited, as the last model was launched in 2021.

The new model certainly looks like a big upgrade, as it not only has a much faster chipset, but it also provides a storage of 128GB in its base variant. Apple has launched its new iPad Mini with the A17 Pro chip at a starting price of Rs 49900 for the Wi-Fi model and Rs 64900 for the Wi-Fi + Cellular model. Talking about the color options, the iPad Mini will be available in blue, purple, starlight, and space gray. The sale will be live in stores and through authorized resellers from October 23.

The iPad mini was more popular because of its handy size and lower weight. And now with the new model, Apple is giving its AI (Apple Intelligence) bandwagon to the customers. The AI features, which are going to be part of the iPadOS 18.1, should start rolling out later this month. The iPad mini is powered by the A17 Pro chip, and it features an 8.3-inch Liquid Retina display. The weight of the new iPad is as light as 290 grams, which is only 50 grams more compared to the weight of the iPhone 16 Pro Max.
