Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the Gramin Bharat Mahotsav at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi. In his address on this occasion, he said that since 2014, he has been committed to serving the people of the village. The theme of the festival is’ Building an Inclusive Rural India for a Developed India 2047. It aims to honour the entrepreneurial spirit and cultural heritage of rural India.

Prime Minister Modi wished everyone a happy 2025. “This grand event of Grameen Bharat Mahotsav 2025 in the beginning of 2025 showcases India’s development journey and gives it a new identity. I congratulate NABARD and all other partners for the successful organisation of this event.”
Gramin Bharat Mahotsav 2025: A glimpse of development in villages PM Modi pointed out that the impact of the government’s policies is now visible in lakhs of villages of the country.
Jal Jeevan Mission: Clean drinking water is reaching every household.
Ayushman Bharat Yojana: Health services are being provided in villages through more than 1.5 lakh Ayushman Arogya Kendras.
Digital Health Services: Country’s best doctors and hospitals have been connected to villages with telemedicine technology. Crores of rural people have taken health consultations from the e-Sanjeevani platform.
Covid Vaccination: During the pandemic, the vaccine was delivered to the last person in every village, which was a big achievement.

Strengthening rural economy
PM said that economic policies should be made keeping in mind every section to strengthen the rural economy. He expressed pride that his government made policies for every section of the villages and took bold decisions. Recently, the Cabinet has approved the continuation of Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana (Fasal Bima Yojana) for another year. This decision has been taken in the interest of farmers. This event of Gramin Bharat Mahotsav not only reflects the progress of villages, but it also underlines their participation in building a developed India. On this occasion, Prime Minister Modi reiterated his commitment to rural development and took forward the resolve to make rural India self-reliant.
