With a high-level gathering lately at Rajnath Singh’s house, for opting the name of BJP’s New National President
Senior BJP leaders as well as Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) officials convened here. Media sources state that although no official announcements have yet been made, the conference included thorough debates on possible chairman candidates.
Prospective Candidates Under Review
Since JP Nadda moved into a Union Ministerial capacity, the post has been empty. The core committee of the BJP has had multiple sessions to choose the new president, including one recently at Rajnath Singh’s house. Attending key personalities were Home Minister Amit Shah, BL Santosh (organizational general secretary), RSS chief Dattatreya Hosable, and Arun Kumar (RSS joint chief). Although the specifics remain unknown, reports indicate several individuals have been decided upon.
RSS Approval Needed
The BJP is looking for a leader who fits perfectly with the social fabric and appeals to grassroots people. Though the BJP is still getting RSS clearance, there is conjecture that the incoming president would be a woman for the first time. According to some sources, the OBC community may produce the new president.
Notable Names in the Combining Set
Several names are under circulation for the post of new national president of the BJP. One of the strong contenders is Maharashtra’s Deputy Chief Minister, Devendra Fadnavis. He recently visited Prime Minister Narendra Modi, which increased rumors of his possible run-through. Fadnavis has discounted these allegations, meanwhile, as journalistic conjecture. Leading OBC community leader Keshav Prasad Maurya, the UP Deputy Chief Minister, is another strong candidate. Maurya has been regularly visiting top Delhi BJP officials.
