He expressed doubt and said that “the Z-plus security given to him may be an attempt to get important information about him because assembly elections are going to be held in Maharashtra this year. It is known that the central government had announced to provide Z-plus security to Sharad Pawar on Wednesday.

Responding to the question asked about providing Z-plus security, Sharad Pawar said that “I do not know the real reason behind this step.” Sharad Pawar further said that “an official of the Home Ministry told me that the central government has decided to provide Z-plus security to three people. And I am one of them. Then I asked him about the other two members, and then he took the names of RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat and Union Home Minister Amit Shah.” Pawar further said that “probably assembly elections are going to be held in Maharashtra, and they are doing this to get knowledge about me.

Currently, security in India is divided into four categories: X, Y, Z, and Z Plus. Among these, Z Plus security is considered the most important.
