Main modification in the entrance process
The University Grant Commission (UGC) made a significant decision on Thursday. Universities can now run their own admission tests to cover their open spots. We have chosen this option to ensure that no seat remains empty. Professor M. Jagadish Kumar, UGC Chairman, informed us about this.
Chance for entry even beyond CUET
Professor Kumar emphasized that every university seat has value. UGC has provided policies to colleges on how to apply the results of the Common University Entrance Test (CUET). This process will run through numerous cycles. Should seats remain empty even beyond the first, second, and third rounds, the UGC has directed the colleges to loosen the topic restrictions to provide chances for more candidates.
The university’s exam
Professor Kumar clarified that the university has permission to conduct its own entrance exam, even if there are still unfilled seats. He emphasized the importance of ensuring that no seat remains empty. The institution should exert every effort to ensure full occupancy of all seats and successful student admission.
