US President-elect Donald Trump has made a big statement saying that an agreement has been reached for the release of hostages in the Middle East, and they will be released soon. Donald Trump’s statement now awaits the official announcement of a ceasefire between Israel and Hamas.
According to sources, Hamas will release the hostages and Israel will withdraw its troops from Gaza in a phased manner. Hamas will first release women and young people under the age of 19. The first phase of the Gaza deal will last 42 days, with the release of about 34 hostages.

After the deadly attack on October 7, 2023, Israel had claimed that Hamas had taken 94 Israeli civilians hostage, of whom 34 have died.
