Trump attacks Trudeau, calls him ‘crazy leftist’ who wants to annex Canada

US President-elect Donald Trump has launched a scathing attack on his Canadian counterpart Justin Trudeau. On Christmas Eve, Trump called Trudeau a “left-wing lunatic” and threatened to impose high tariffs on Canada. Not only this, Trump once again suggested the merger of Canada with the US. 

Proposal to make Canada the 51st state 

Donald Trump said in a message on his social media platform X that if Canada becomes the 51st state of the US, it will be given a tax concession of up to 60%, which will make its economy grow twice as fast. He also offered to make Justin Trudeau the governor of Canada. Trump said the move would be a win-win deal for Canada. 

A look at the Panama Canal 

Besides Canada, Trump is also eyeing the Panama Canal. He has expressed a desire to take it back into American possession. On Christmas Eve, Trump posted dozens of offensive messages, the most talked about being his message to Canada. “Merry Christmas to the radical left who are obstructing our judicial system and elections. ” Difficult situation for Trudeau Trump’s repeated offer has put Justin Trudeau in a dilemma. Trudeau has neither accepted nor rejected the proposal. Trump had earlier proposed to make Canada the 51st state of the US during a meeting with Trudeau at his residence. Now this issue has become a big challenge for Trudeau.
