This smuggling attempt was foiled in time

Not only this, on Monday, Jammu and Kashmir Police arrested a truck driver for smuggling more than 200 kg of poppy husk in Udhampur district. According to officials, “During a routine search, the police team stopped a truck at Jakhani on the Jammu-Srinagar highway and searched it. During the search, 211 kg of poppy husk kept in eight sacks was recovered from the truck. The police arrested the truck driver Mohammad Hanif on the spot and seized the poppy husk.” Let us tell you that a case has been registered in this regard at Udhampur police station and the matter is being investigated. Officials say that “This smuggling attempt was foiled in time and the police is now trying to identify other associates of the accused.”
