Not just in Delhi, Noida, and Ghaziabad, Schools Closed in Meerut and Haryana also

The pollution situation in Delhi-NCR has become very serious. According to the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB), the air quality index (AQI) has crossed the 500-mark in several areas. In view of this situation, the Delhi government has decided to close all schools. Chief Minister Atishi Marlena on Monday announced that physical classes for all classes except 10th and 12th will remain closed with immediate effect. Schools have also been closed in adjoining areas like Noida, Ghaziabad and Meerut. The government is constantly making efforts to deal with this serious situation arising due to pollution.

Several educational institutions, including Delhi University and Jamia Millia Islamia, have decided to stop physical classes due to rising pollution in Delhi. All classes will now be conducted online. Chief Minister Atishi said all schools in Delhi will also conduct online classes till further orders.

Schools will remain closed in Noida and Ghaziabad

In Noida, schools up to class 12 will remain closed till May 23. Schools in Ghaziabad will remain closed till further orders.

Schools, colleges closed in Haryana due to air pollution

The Delhi-NCR region has also decided to close schools due to rising pollution. In Meerut, all schools and coaching institutes from nursery to class 12 will remain closed from November 19 till further orders. Students will be learning online. Similarly, the Haryana government has also issued an order for temporary closure of schools up to Class 5, taking serious note of the pollution situation in the state. The state government has authorised the deputy commissioners to assess the pollution levels in their respective districts and take necessary decisions in this regard.
