Based on the Udaya Tithi, the Sakta Chauth fast will be observed on January 17, Friday. On this day, devotees observe a fast after worshipping the moon. The moonrise time will be at 9:09 pm on this day.

- Ingredients: In the worship of Sakat Chauth, especially the Mooshak (the vehicle of Ganesha) is worshipped. Apart from this, the Vrati has to chant Bichuya and Tantra-mantra to attain child happiness.
- Raw turmeric and water: 4 bales of turmeric should be tied in a cloth and kept in the courtyard of the house. During the puja, it is kept in every corner of the house and the atmosphere of the house is sanctified. On this day, devotees observe a day-long fast and consume only fruits and water.
