In the last few years, many reports of increasing cases of online fraud have come to light in India, in which social media is being misused. The reason is that in this era of the internet, we get to hear and read many stories of fraud. Fraudsters cheat people every day by using one or the other trick. Their conspiracy is so dangerous that by the time people understand their intentions, they have already hunted down someone else and are trying to trap them. Nowadays, one such fraud is happening on Facebook. Actually, in this, criminals promise a huge amount to men in exchange for impregnating a fake client on Facebook. Many youths of the country are trapped in this fraud. And this matter is increasing rapidly.
Young people get trapped due to greed for money and sex
These criminals are so clever that they especially target unemployed men and men from rural areas. They know that unemployed youth get easily tempted. Moreover, if there is talk of getting money in exchange for impregnating someone, then any person can easily get tempted. It means less expense and better work. Well, greed for money and sex is such a thing that no one has a solution for. The interesting thing is that in this scam, first of all the criminals post photos and videos of attractive women on social media. And after posting, they claim that whoever makes them pregnant within three months will be given a huge amount along with Rs 20 lakh, a property and a car. Along with this, the scammers also promise to give immense wealth and property to the person who completes the task within the time limit. Obviously, there is no dearth of people in the country who get easily duped by reading such posts. The reason is that people get duped easily.
Lakhs are collected in the name of ‘processing fees’
After this, through such fraudulent messages on Facebook, the criminals attract those men, who get trapped in such fake promises and agree to give money. After getting duped, the real game begins. In this method of fraud, the criminals first collect lakhs from those men in the name of registration fees or ‘processing fees’ and as soon as they get the money, they stop contacting them. Then, when there is no contact, the victim becomes a victim of fraud and due to fear of public shame, he does not even register his complaint. Somewhere in his mind, there is a feeling of guilt that if by mistake someone gets to know about this, then he will not be able to show his face in society. Overall, he is very embarrassed by this fraud.
