During this, Congress General Secretary and Wayanad MP Priyanka Gandhi Vadra had made a sharp attack on Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Central Government. Priyanka Gandhi, while participating in the discussion on the glorious journey of 75 years of the Constitution of India in the Lok Sabha, said that “Perhaps the Prime Minister has not been able to understand that the Constitution is not the ‘Vidhana of the Union’.” Attacking PM Modi strongly, Priyanka accused the government of spreading fear and claimed that if the results of the Lok Sabha elections were not like this, then this government would have worked to change the Constitution.

Let us tell you that while giving her first speech in the House after being elected as a Lok Sabha member from Wayanad, Priyanka Vadra said that “The Constitution promises social, economic and political justice. This promise is a protective shield, the work of breaking which has started.” During this, she also claimed that this government is working to weaken reservation through lateral entry and privatization. She did not stop here, she further said that “Today the ruling party is repeatedly saying Constitution-Constitution because after winning this election after losing it, they have come to know that the people of the country will keep the Constitution safe and the talk of changing the Constitution will not work in this country.”

And with this, India was established as a democratic republic. The Government of India announced to celebrate 26 November as Constitution Day in 2015. Since then, the adoption of the Constitution is celebrated every year on this day.
