PM Modi interacts with injured MPs during Winter Session of Parliament The incident took place during the Winter Session of Parliament. The BJP accused Congress leader Rahul Gandhi of pushing and injuring two BJP MPs. MP Pratap Chandra Sarangi and Mukesh Rajput, who were injured in the incident, have been admitted to a hospital where they are undergoing treatment. The BJP has lodged a complaint with the police in this regard.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke to injured MPs Pratap Chandra Sarangi and Mukesh Rajput and enquired about their health and wished them a speedy recovery. 

Statement of the injured MP 

BJP MP Pratap Chandra Sarangi said, “Rahul Gandhi pushed an MP, who fell on top of me. I fell down and was injured. ” “Both the injured MPs have sustained head injuries and their blood pressure is high,” RML Hospital official Dr Sanjay Shukla said. Due to Pratap Sarangi’s age, this injury can be serious for him.”

CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan spoke to media

Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has expressed grief over the incident. BJP MP Shivraj Singh Chouhan met the injured MPs at the hospital. “Seeing Pratap Chandra Sarangi ji, my heart was filled with pain. This is a black day in the history of Parliament. There is no other example of the hooliganism that Rahul Gandhi and the Congress have done. Congress should take training to learn conduct in democracy.” 

Parliament is not a platform to show strength: Rijiju 

Union Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju expressed grief over the incident. “Parliament is not a platform to show any physical strength. The conduct of Rahul Gandhi and his MPs is totally unwarranted.”

Reactions from BJP leaders 

In the Rajya Sabha, Union Minister J. P. Nadda strongly condemned the act of Rahul Gandhi and said that the opposition leader should understand his responsibility. Union Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal said, “Two of our MPs have sustained serious injuries. This attitude of the opposition is unacceptable. They are forgetting their responsibility.” The incident is being considered against the dignity of Parliament and democratic values. There has been considerable controversy in political circles on this matter.
