Palghar Crime: Minor Assaulted, Two Suspects in Custody

Palghar Crime

The gruesome incident of r**e and murder of a junior doctor in Kolkata shook the entire country. After this, the brutality done to two three-year-old girls studying in a school in Badlapur, adjacent to Thane district of Maharashtra, enraged the people. People, enraged by the indecisive attitude of the administration, also created a lot of ruckus. This episode has not even cooled down that a case of r**e of a 17-year-old minor has come to light from the Palghar district of Maharashtra. As soon as the matter came to light, Tulinj police registered a case and arrested two accused. According to Tulinj police, the victim is a resident of Mumbai; she often used to come to Nalasopara. During that time, she got acquainted with the accused Sonu, who works in a studio there.

Called on the pretext of going out and r**ed

According to the FIR lodged, on Thursday, Sonu and his friend called the minor for an outing. And on the pretext of going out, both the accused took the auto to a deserted place and r***ed the minor there. After getting information about this incident, the parents of the minor lodged a complaint with the police. Tulinj police, which comes under Palghar district, registered a case under BNS (Indian Justice Code) and POCSO Act on Friday and arrested both the accused related to the case.

Increasing r**e incidents in Maharashtra have become a cause of concern.

In the past few days, the r**e incidents in Badlapur, then Kolhapur, and now Palghar have raised questions on the law and order of the state. Why is there no fear of law among the youth of the country? Is the reason for this the poor legal system of the country? Or is it the free internet? It is no secret for what purposes today’s youth use free internet. In such a situation, along with the government, people also have to remain alert about such sensitive matters. Not only do we have to remain alert, but the legal process also has to be expedited so that the culprits can be punished as soon as possible. Only then will the girls be safe.
